“We booked The Big Dipper Ranch camp sites 1 and 2 had a fantastic time! From start to finish, we had a great experience. We loved meeting Jud and his wife who greeted us and showed us around the beautiful property. They were extremely accommodating and even opened the camp a week early for us so we could celebrate our son's birthday. You can certainly tell they love this property through their attention to detail. The tents are stunning, and the beds are as comfortable as our beds at home! There is a brand new compost toilet and pump sink which was nice to have in the woods! The pond is down the hill from the site and is nice and shaded and also has a wooden, floating dock. It is fully stocked with fish, and we catch at least 20 during our stay (one really big bass!). The fire pit in the evening was so much fun, and the star grazing was phenomenal (saw the rings of Saturn and moons of Jupiter with our telescope). We were honored to be the first guests to this beautiful property, and we are already looking at dates for our return. Thank you to Jud and his family for sharing this special place with us!

“This experience was sensational and exceeded all of our expectations. Jud was the best host, we shared the property with another group but still felt completely alone. Beautiful starry skies (lived up to its namesake as the Big Dipper Ranch) exceptional location and while the fish never quite materialized for us it was one of the best trips we have had. The accommodations are great - the bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of room in the tent for a pack & play for our toddler and a dog crate. Also a compostable toilet and a camp shower for the true glamping experience. Close to great hiking and a cute winery/brewery right down the street. We will definitely be back!”

“Our stay was perfect! If you’ve never done “glamping” I highly recommend it. This place was the perfect location to disconnect. Not only is it beautiful, but it was so comfortable (best sleep of my life). Also, our host was so kind and helpful! He provided us with great recommendations and we instantly felt at home. If you’re visiting here, I recommend hiking White Oak Canyon trail to the various waterfalls. It was a little steep and took us a while to hike everything we wanted to see, but the views were worth it! Also, come prepared to grill or use the fire pit because you’ll definitely be craving s’mores.”

“From the moment we booked until we left the site, Jud made us feel incredibly welcomed. The serenity, the views, the trails and the pond were just what we needed after being cooped up at home for the last three months. And the compost toilet and hot shower were added benefits. Will definitely re-book. Can’t wait to escape the city again for BDR.”
